The Greens Landscape Advisory

October 20, 2016 (Updated June 25, 2020)

From our “Declaration of Covenants”

“The Association shall provide for the repair, maintenance and/or replacement of the Common Areas, the Right of Way areas and the maintenance of the landscaping in the front yard of each Lot. …and shall water, mow & trim the front yard of each Lot periodically so as to be uniform, attractive and sightly.”

(Section 11.1 of the CC&Rs)

For new Plantings

If you choose to plant new varieties of shrubs or make any changes in the design of your front yard, approval of the Architectural Review Committee is required. A “Greens Approved Plant List” is available for help with selections.

(Section 6.5 of the CC&Rs)

“It shall be the responsibility of each Homeowner to landscape each Owner’s lot in a manner acceptable to the Architectural Review Committee. All landscaping plans and any alterations thereof must be approved by the Architectural Committee prior to commencement of landscaping.”

(Section 7.16 of the CC&Rs)

Changes In Your Landscaping

Request Architectural Committee approval for changes you would like to make in your landscaping; new variety of shrubs, different edging, or a change in the layout of your yard. Submit a sketch or landscape design showing the changes to the Architectural Committee.

(Sections 6.5, 6.7 of the CC&Rs)

Use the yellow “Project Request Cards”

To report a shrub that needs maintenance, water leaks, or other landscape concern, write up the particulars on one of the yellow “Project Request Card” forms. They are in the box next to the mailboxes at the entrance. Complete the card, then place back in the box for reporting to the landscape contractor. The landscaper will maintain anything covered under their contract.

Help for your projects

The Greens does not recommend or endorse landscapers, contractors, yard men, etc. You must make your own arrangements for any work outside of that covered under The Greens Covenants & Landscape Contract.
